Tour Itinerary
We'll start our trip from your hotel & riad in Marrakech, and drive you to Ouarzazate through the dramatic Tizi ‘ n ’ n'Tichka, the loftiest major mountain pass in Africa( 2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, appreciating the beauty of the geography through Berber villages. Arriving at the notorious Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest one in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 where; we will have lunch before we continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, “ the Hollywood of Africa ” and along the( Road of the thousand Kasbahs), passing by Kalaat Mgouna, “ the rose’s valley ” known for the product of rose water roses and its periodic jubilee( May), before arriving at Dades Gorge. Overnight at Hotel/ Riad.
Sahara Desert. After morning breakfast, we’ll drive through the valley to see the fantastic rock formations and take a break in one of the nice spots of the gorge. Leaving the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley, we will see the panoramic views of the old Berber townlets with their palm groves overlooking the valley. Arriving at the Todgha Gorge, you’ll walk under a high red precipice raised to 300m) at its narrowest point. Continuing to Erfoud and Rissani, lunch will be on the way afterward, and we’ll leave for the Sahara Desert of Merzouga on our arrival. You'll be served a hot mug of mint tea, also you'll be prepared for your camel tour. After a traditional regale under the stars, we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert.
After breakfast, we will drive you deep into the Sahara Desert region. We'll make a trip around the desert dunes, where you'll have the chance to see the nomads’ way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We'll visit the ‘ black townlet ’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We'll have a classic Berber Pizza for lunch in the old capital of Rissani. After lunch, you can visit the traditional sites. After that, we will return to the Hotel to be ready for departure on the camels. As the evening over the desert dunes will ride the camels for 90 minutes to the desert camp. We'll have a traditional Moroccan food regale and succulent mint tea while watching the stars and the rising moon in the amazing desert. We'll spend the night in a traditional nomad tent.
Wake over early morning to watch the beautiful sunrise, we ride the camels back to the Hotel, and after taking a shower and a conventional breakfast, we’ll start our Sahara tour back to Fes. through the spectacular decor of the ravines and gaps. In the Ziz valley, which punctuates the geography with its brilliant green palms and ancient Kasbahs, and passing by the most extensive cedar timber in Morocco, where you will have a break to meet some wild monkeys, continuing via Ifrane( Switzerland of morocco), stopping for a picture or coffee before arriving in the afternoon to Fes, where the tour ends
